Founder of Ruby Said So and a badass wedding stylist, who creates unforgettable rock-and-roll celebrations.

Ruby Said So is named after my daughter, Ruby — fierce, independent, and completely unapologetic. (With a little nod to the epic Rancid song, Ruby Soho thrown in...)

This brand carries that same energy: celebrating individuality, self-expression, and love stories that don’t fit the mould.

I’m Hayley — a wedding stylist and florist specialising in rock ’n’ roll weddings, alternative weddings, and gothic wedding styling. I transform ordinary ceremonies into bold, unforgettable celebrations filled with personality, attitude, and heart.

Because your wedding shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. It should look like you.

Rock ’n’ roll  weddings

with  attitude

Every wedding I style and every bloom I design is entirely bespoke. From edgy wedding décor and dramatic florals to rich colour palettes and statement installations, I create alternative and gothic weddings that ditch tradition and embrace individuality.

Whether you’re dreaming of a dark romantic wedding, a gothic-inspired celebration, or a full-blown rock ’n’ roll wedding, your day is designed around your story — not a template.

No cookie-cutter.

No copy-paste Pinterest.

Just intentional, expressive design that hits differently.

For couples who refuse to blend in—

your day, your riot!

Where  it   all   started

Long before weddings, I was a kiddy goth. At 11 years old, just starting high school, I felt like the outcast — awkward, different, never quite fitting the boxes everyone else seemed comfortable in.

Then I found the goth crowd…

or maybe they found me.

And they welcomed me with open arms. It felt safe. Natural. Like home.

For the first time, I had my crowd.

That world of black clothes, loud music, creativity, and beautiful weirdness shaped everything about me. It taught me that different is powerful.  That self-expression matters. That there’s nothing better than belonging exactly as you are.

Ruby Said So is built on that same feeling — creating weddings where couples feel seen, safe, and completely themselves.

My  background

Before launching Ruby Said So, I ran

The English Wedding Co, styling countless beautiful weddings with elegance and creativity.

But I also spent years working as a designer for a global alternative clothing brand and immersed in the alternative music industry — even interviewing rock bands along the way.

So blending alternative culture, music, fashion, and weddings felt completely natural.
